my two youngest attend sunbeams which is next to st roberts ainsty road.
They also run an out of school club which is very handy for my eldest as I work full time.
My children absolutely love it. The staff are wonderful, very approachable, and show genuine care for my children. As it's new the building is very clean. I knew instinctivly it was the right place for my children the moment I walked in. I struggle to get my children home on a night coz they love it so much.
This is only my recommendation but you will know the right nursery when you see it. Dont be afraid to visit many nursery.
Ask as many questions as you like I wrote all my questions down in a note book first before I went to look around.
Hope this helps.

my friend has looked at nurseries in harrogate for her baby son.

she felt that the kindercare nursery at hornbeam park has too many babies and that her own child might be deprived of attention because of this.

this is just her opinion, its best to go and look at various settings yourself to see how you feel about them

I can't recommend Harcourt Day Nursery,on Harcourt Road in Harrogate(very near the town centre) highly enough.
My DS(now two) has been there since he was just over 10.5 months and we are very happy with it. Most importantly, DS seems to love it there. It's difficult getting him to leave at the end of the day! (He is there two days a week).
It just looks like a detached family house from the outside and these first impressions are echoed inside. It's not big as nurseries go and inside it has a really homely feel about it. DH and I loved it instantly and we only looked round one other nursery before booking DS's place that very same day.
The staff are ALL lovely; they all seem to know DS's name even though they don't look after him directly. And the ones who are involved with DS couldn't be nicer. They adore DS, clearly spend a lot of time with the children and happily always answer all of my endless questions
The food is all home-made and very varied (it always sounds tasty to me!), with not a crumb of junk food in sight!
Re questions, I can't really advise you on what to ask. Different things are important to different people and so you'll know what to ask when you go.
Go by your instincts: you'll know the right place when you see it.
Have a look at the website: harcourtdaynursery.co.uk
