Should we move dd between nurseries or not?? HELP!

DD is 2.5 and has been in nursery 0730 - 5 30 4 days a week since she was 6 months old. We moved nursery due to house move when she was 12 months old and she settled fine. Loves her current nursery and we both like it as well.

There is a nursery much closer to where we leave that has an excellent reputation, and I put her name down on the waiting list 18 months ago when we moved her to the one she is now at. A place has now finally come up. The prices are about the same.

Here is what I am dithering about; the new nursery is more conveniently located, AND it feeds to the local primary school she may go to. I say MAY, because due to dh's job, we may be relocating in summer 2010, just before she is due to start school (great timing huh?) The problem, we do not know whether this will happen just now; it is a 'maybe'. If we move, I will have uprooted her for nothing, as she will have to start primary school with a bunch of people she has never met before anyway. So, so we move nursery, on the chance that it may help her if we stick around the area and she goes to this primary....or keep her where she is, which means that if we DONT move she will end up going to local school not knowing anyone, as her current nursery is 15/20 mins drive away and we dont think any of the kids will be going to our local school.

ARGHH!

Or I am being a bit PFB, and will she be fine regardless?

If she's happy where she is, I'd keep her there.

If she is happy and you are happy I would keep her there. My DD1 started school and did not know anyone, she was fine. After DD2 started school we moved house and now have to drive past 2 nearer schools to get to the one they go to!! BUT they are so happy and settled that I decided not to move them.

Lots of children start school not knowing anyone, I would definately not uproot her if you are both happy.

I'd keep her where she is. I worry a lot about the issues I may give my children by forcing them to break and make too many attachments to people in early years.

Thanks all. Trying to second guess what will be best, whilst not knowing our future plans is really tricky!
