Nurseries/preschools for 4yo in Dulwich?

DD1 is at JAPS and we'll probably move DD2 to a Dulwich nursery when she's 4 (Sept 09).

I know a lot of kids go from DCPS to JAPS but I want somewhere where DD2 can attend 3 FULL DAYS a week. So far I've only found Half Moon Montessori that will do this - possibly also Ducks - views on these welcomed, plus info on any others that will allow this kind of arrangement. (Seems like most demand 5 days/half days.)

Actually looks like she'd have to go every day to Ducks.

Any others, or thoughts on Half Moon?

I only know about the Half Moon through being a childminder in the area and have often heard good things about it.

The last time I was picking up mindees from there was around two years ago and they seemed to like it.

The only downside I found was the lack of outdoor space - quite a small concrete area - but apart from that everything seemed nice.

Thanks Scarfmaker. Looks like it's our only choice if we don't want her to go 5 days a week. Shame though - her current nursery has a lovely, huge green garden.

Nelly's? Rosemead? Oakfield? Anyone?

What do you mean by full days? What hours do you want? Would school hours be OK?

FrockHorror · 18/11/2008 11:41

Don't know about operating hours but was told Nelly's is a fantastic nursery. Was put forward for a job there when I qualified but didn't even go for the interview as I couldn't take DD.

Sorry yes I mean school hours mabanana. So I can drop off and pick up around DD1's times at JAPS.

Will have a look at Nelly's frock. I suspect there may be a long waiting list - but maybe that's more for the younger ones

Dulwich Village Preschool runs 9.30 to 3.15pm.

Thanks. Can you go less than 5 days a week? (They don't seem to have a website?)

Yes, you can go any combination you like! Very relaxed. It's not swish but the children are very happy. The website is under construction!
