Attending two different nurseries?

Hi everyone,

My son turns 2 in June and will start Montessori, but it closes mid-July for the summer holidays. During the holidays, he’ll go to a traditional nursery with holiday provision.

From September, I’m planning two mornings in Montessori alongside the two mornings in the traditional nursery, and Fridays off.. so he will attend two mornings in traditional nursery all year round and then two additional mornings in Montessori during term time.
Please note this is a proper Montessori school rather than Montessori inspired so it’s all done ‘properly’

I’m a bit worried this all might be too much to for a just turned 2-year-old, especially as he’s currently so used to grabbing toys and free play…. Mixing and matching, mucking in etc. however I strongly value Montessori approach as I think this will help him develop boundaries and focus and respect for others…

I’m sure he’ll adapt quickly but will then starting him traditional and stopping Montessori and then starting him again be super confusing?

Thanks in advance!

Personally I think two different settings with two different approaches is a lot for such a little one.

What’s all done ‘properly’ mean?
