Poor communication

I moved my daughter from her previous nursery to one which was closely affiliated with the school nursery she has just started. She currently does half of the week at school nursery and the remaining 15 hours at the new day nursery. School nursery has been great and I can’t fault it.

The communication at the other day nursery however is dreadful. She often comes home having not eaten any of her packed lunch. The person doing handover never mentions that she hasn’t eaten. She tells me that she has been hurt or hit and again this has not been passed on. I have tried to speak to the manager about the hours she is booked on being incorrect and I cannot get hold of her ever. I was told to just send an email after a week of trying to speak to her and the email has gone unread for over a week now too. They have an app that is never used and when it is, I have information about the wrong child. I have just got a notification that she has a wet nappy. She doesn’t wear nappies and isn’t even there! My 10 month old is due to start there next month and the thought of leaving him there is keeping me awake at night. I doubt I will get him a place anywhere else near home though. Is it not a legal requirement for early years providers to communicate effectively with parents? What can I do?!

Sounds very poorly managed and communication is probably the least of it's problems.

I would run a mile from it if I were you.
