Newly self employed and nursery funding

Hi
I will begin my self employed job (2 days a week) next year, and I wanted to put my 2 little ones in nursery from April 2026 for 1 day a week.
They will both be 2 years and a bit when they start at that point (born Feb last year).

If I am newly self employed, will I still get the 15 hours a week funding for each of them?
It says you have to earn a certain amount (£183 a week or more) which I will be but until I have my yearly accounts I won’t be able to show them that. My DH also works employed at an average wage.

Can I still apply later for a place for the April 2026 term?

thanks

I’m not sure about the finance aspect but have you found a nursery that will take them for one day a week? Pretty much all nurseries will only accept two days a week at a minimum

Agree with this. DT’s nursery only took full time places - 5 days a week.

You reconfirm quarterly. You’ll need to confirm then that you’re earning enough, but they won’t check until you put your yearly accounts in.
