Starting nursery?

This might sound like a stupid question but how do I inquire into a nursery place? Do I ring or email? What sort of questions do I need to ask? And is it a good idea to ask about the price once DC gets funded hours? Any replies are appreciated

Just ring the ones your interested in and arrange a viewing. Once there they will give you their fees etc and you'll get a feel for the place and be able to ask any questions you have.

Can't help with funded hours as I'm in NI where we don't get them.

Thank you for your response, would I need to ring prior to viewing to find out when they will have a place available though?

From my experience it's best to send an email saying when you need a nursery place to start (just a date, no need for specifics) and if they have availability then, could you come and look around.

If they don't respond then give them a call.

Depending on how urgent, I had sent an email (was looking when pregnant, for a place when the child turns 1), but if more urgent can call them. They had shared data on fees either by email or at the visit.
