Toddler poorly every week worried about government funded hours being stopped

My 19 month year old attends nursery 2 days a week. However, since she has started she keeps picking up bugs and getting poorly.

She’s never had this amount of illnesss before starting nursery. However, I have read that this strengthens her immune system.

The issue is I’m now worried she may lose her 15 hour funded time due to the absences? It’s just something I heard or head but can’t remember where.

I obviously do want her to attend nursery as I work full time and then when she’s off I’m taking time off to look after her,

Has anyone experienced increase in toddler getting poorly more often after starting nursery and has this had any impact on your funded hours?

TIA X

Very normal especially at this time of year. Never heard of it affecting funded hours but you could check with the nursery for their policy.

It won’t affect the funded hours (my 18month old has missed quite a few sessions due to illness). You’ll still be paying if they are sick so the nursery will still receive the payment.

My eldest was also unwell a lot at this age, she’s at school now and rarely unwell despite youngest being unwell a lot. It’s definitely helped her immune system.
