Hi there - my daughter just turned two. Five months ago we relocated across country. She was with a childminder at our old location which she grew comfortable in after months of separation anxiety. When we moved she started at a nursery, she now LOVES the place and her key workers and generally seems happy going and waves bye to me now at the door (which is bitter sweet for a mum!). The only problem with this nursery is the cost. Fees went up in April and it is now completely unaffordable and we are struggling with the fees (£80/day!!!). We have found another nursery (even closer to home and more affordable) who takes toddlers from 2 years old, so we have decided to move her to this nursery at the start of Sept. I am completely and utterly riddled with guilt that she will not settle in the new place and miss the old nursery and I feel awful moving her as kids struggle with change. We know deep in our hearts it is for the best as we will be saving more than £1000 a month which will contribute to a better future for us all. Not sure how this post will help but just looking for some reassurance from other mums who have been through a similar thing ! TIA xx
