Advice needed nursery policy

So I was wondering if anyone could give advice in regards to a nursery placement at a school.
Initially my son did not get in due to a high amount of full time places being given priority as per the nursery’s policy.

I was put on a waiting and told I am number 1 since then I have waited for a place to become available and not complained as they where following the policy stated to me before I applied.

Priority is given to children eligible for 30 hours and the closest distance to the school there when no exemptions to this rule stated when I applied.

Another mum on the waiting list has raised her own complaints with the nursery’s policy probably putting a lot of pressure on the school to do something about this.

Her child was offered a place at the nursery for 15 hours before mine I was then offered 12.
We are both eligible for 15 hours and using the school distance app provided to me I live closer to the school.

I feel the school has broken its policy to stop her complaints and constant threats. my child and potentially others have been cheated out of child care. Where do I go from here.

I don’t really think you will get anywhere with a complaint about going against policy. There could be other reasons the child was offered more hours than yours. Also, even if you do complain, they can’t then ask another family to reduce their hours so it’s not going to help with your predicament.
