Do I have to pay for the bank holidays??

Nobody has ever told me if I have to and DDs only go on a mon morning and fri afternoon so obv with today and good friday means they will have missed a week of nursery. They didnt even tell me they were closing its only I asked as leaving on monday.

DH thinks I shouldnt pay and when they shut at christmas we didnt...am a bit new to all this though!!

I'm sure this will be covered in your contract - can you check.

Our nursery charges for bank holiday closures. I think this is fair enough, actually, as they still have to pay their staff, and I don't get paid any less if the wee has a public holiday.

our nursery charges 1/2 rate for bank holidays but we still pay.

my dc's nursery used to charge for 51 weeks a year (closed at Xmas for a week), This was divided into 12 equal payments.

Do you pay the same amount every month? If so, its probably calculated out and divided by 12.

mine are at a busybees, we still have to pay even though i still have to work so have to pay twice sometimes to get someone else to lookafter them.

they dont have a set amount a month it is ad hoc pay when you want type of system. I just know it is £56 a week for the two of them to do 2 sessions a week. I tend to be pay 3wks one time then 1 wk the next time. They dont even seem to keep tabs but will write me out a reciept after I ask them.
