She is 18 months old right now and I just want to know when and what is she eligible for the funded nursery hours.
I don't work right now but I would like to work if she can get any funded hours at all.
DP earns over 100k.

If you're England, term after she turns 3 she can get the 15 funded hours a week. You won't get the 30 hours unless your partner's adjusted net income is under £100k and you have a job, unless you are on certain benefits,

If you're in Scotland you get 30 hours the term after she turns 3, no limit on earnings.

If your partner can bring salary under 100k eg with pension contributions, and you worked equivalent of 16 hours a week you would be eligible for 30 hours term after she's 3, otherwise you'll get 15 hours term after she's 3.

Ahh that's what I thought it might be. I'm in England and there's no way he can bring it under 100k.
What about the new system? Will she not be eligible for 15hours per week when she turns 2 in Feb?

Under the new funding entitlements, you will only be eligible for 15 hours the term after her 2nd birthday if you are both working and your husbands earnings were below £100k

lingmerth · 16/08/2023 00:07

Just be aware that these hours aren't free. You're expected to pay for meals and resources.

Ahh right so my only option is then when she turns 3 with 15 hours funded.
That has really helped me understand. Thank you very much
