Sickness and absence

My son has had a cold/cough for about 3 weeks so we contacted out of hours on Sunday and they prescribed an antibiotic which we started that day. I kept him off day care on Monday as he was so lethargic and not himself. He woke this morning on time and seemed to be a bit better, just a runny nose. His nursery day is 9-2.30, so when I picked him up at 2.30 the class leader told me he hadn't ate anything and was very tired after lunchtime and they weren't sure if he would make it through the afternoon without napping. (He doesn't sleep in daycare as its only part time). Would you keep your child home tomorrow if he was on day 3 of an antibiotic, will possibly be a bit tired still in the afternoon etc? I did say to her that she was welcome to ring us anytime during the day for him to be picked up of course, but they didn't.

I'm minded to keep him off after her raising this, just wanted some thoughts and if I'd made the wrong choice today sending him in as suggested.

Honestly, it would depend if I had to work or not / how much of my day was moveable.

Well today, I had to take off as leave as my mum was at a hospital appt. So I was watching my youngest. Tomorrow I'm off anyway as I work part time, I'm pretty sick myself though too but could manage both at home.

I think I'm just annoyed as she made me feel like a bad mum for sending him in the first place. She said it in front of other parents during pick up too. I don't understand if he was so tired why they didn't just call me to pick him up earlier instead of telling me this at the end of the day...

I don't get why her feedback upsets you parents are always told on collection if child has not eaten or not been themselves that's no reflection on you.
