I work in a nurserie as it is very close to home, My 2 also attend. Everything has been turned upsidedown they are doing renovations we were given 2 days notice, that I would have to send my children to a diff centre and I will have to work somewhere else. The time perriod has changed and I am stuck with no real convinient child care as it is 1/2 hr away. I dont like alot of the staff as I have worked with them.(very lazy) I havent even had an official phone call to say the renovations will take another month.Ifeel screwed as a parent and a mother.

Tstar-

This sounds awful! You poor thing!

I don't think legally they can give such short notice. Two days is certainly not enough time to find adequate childcare, let alone new employment.

However, you could take this opportunity to start a new job in a place where you will feel happy and appreciated (it sounds as if you were the only hard worker in your previous job!)

I would contact your local citizens advose for more adivce on your rights, as I cant adivse you were you stand legally. I just wanted to post my
support.

thanx for your support, being late I didnt come across correct, sorry. They set us up at a diff centre. So legally they are covered. But My children are with people they dont no, away from there friends as they are all at other centers. They are covering them selves legally, it just makes me feel really forgotten about. But your right I should start looking for new work, and new care for my kids. All you want in life is a bit of stabillity.
Thanx again, sorry for the mix up, when you are stressed out it all comes out at once.

Yes- sounds like they are covered.

try to stay positive though- if you didn't get on with them too well, its a blessing in disguise maybe?

There are plenty of nurseries with lovely staff out there! good luck!
