Day nurseries vs school nurseries

My son is in a day nursery that is 2-3 minutes walk from our home. He is almost 3. He used to like the nursery so much that he did not want to go home in the evening. For the last few months it takes almost an hour every morning to convince him to go to the nursery. In the evening he runs out and does not want to stay a minute longer if I need to ask something from the nursery management or staff. Now he says he wants to go to a different nursery but cannot explain why he does not want to go to his current nursery.
I thought maybe it is worth to try a school nursery 1-2 days or half-days a week to start with to see if he likes a school nursery.
Some private primary schools guarantee a place in Reception if the child joins their nursery.
Apart from a guaranteed place in a school and getting familiar with the school teacher are there any other advantages of school nurseries? Do school nurseries prepare better for Reception?
I want to do just 1-2 days because all school nurseries is about half an hour walk or train ride. Plus they finish earlier than our day nursery.

Have you spoke to current nursery to see if they know the issue?

All nurseries do the same. State nursery will have a higher ratio of kids to an adult.
I didn't know you could only do a couple of days? I thought it had to be the 5.

We decided not to send to a school nursery as we want the consistency of going all year, longer hours etc as 3 hours a day isn't convenient for us.

@HolyMoly22 Thanks for your reply. The school nursery is a part of a private school. Most of them do till 3:30. I am thinking doing mornings so I can collect DS from the school nursery and take him to back to current day nursery. If I find out my DS prefers the school nursery I will sign him full time. Both nurseries are private.

@HolyMoly22 : I doubt the nursery management will tell me why my DS does not want to go there. They have quite a few French and Italian children. My son picked up some not so nice words in French and Italian and keeps shouting them. The nursery management complaint to me that my DS says those words.
I do not know meanings of those words.

There may have been new staff members he doesn't like, old staff members leave, new children that have changed the play dynamic of the group. It's worth speaking with the nursery to find out before you change to a new setting as it might be something very simple to change.

My daughter is 4months old. 4 months I lived in my home having her grand father and my sister in law at home.
now m back to work. I take him to a day care that is near to my office but she is crying there . She can’t sleep there because of noisy environment. What should I do?
should I leave her at home at my sister in law?
or should I wait for her to get settled in day care?
is there any side effects of putting child in day care in this early age ?
in day care I can visit her every two hour
but if I left her in home I can’t visit home and I will be back home after 10 hours

Not all nurseries are the same! I work in a private ( independent) school nursery.
We are more structured than a day nursery. We also follow a Montessori pedagogy too. There are also the opportunities afforded by being attached to a prep school.
We offer Ballet, French and sports lessons.
So it might be that he's not being stretched enough and feels bored? A more structured formal environment may suit him?
