How long do you keep your child home after a temperature?

Of course I know children should be kept home from nursery or school while they have a temperature and for some time after to ensure they are definitely on the mend. I was under the impression the standard amount of time they should be without a temperature before returning is 24 hours, however our nursery is enforcing 48 hours which I thought was a bit excessive? Just wanted to see what other nurseries done. Thanks

Until you've done a PCR results and their temp has gone?

test and got the result* (should have previewed!)

48 hours for us after a temperature, vomiting, or diarrhea. Children and staff alike.

Negative pcr and then only back if fully recovered and no calpol for 48 hours. Tempreture is the body fighting an illness needs to be fully recovered.

It's 48 hours and a negative PCR at our son's nursery too.

Traditionally, only until the temp was back to normal and they were well in themselves. Obviously at the moment that would also include a negative PCR. But if I had that and the temp was gone by morning, I'd send them in assuming there was no other reason to keep them home.

Our nursery and school is 48 hours once the temp has gone
