Just had a note from nursery asking that parents do not buy them chocolates for a Christmas gift - what on earth can I give them instead?

Apparently all the staff are on a diet

Am now totally lost for ideas as a box of chocolates or biscuits that they could share seemed ideal.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Thats a bit cheeky I would be tempted to buy something for the nursery (books etc) o nothing.

I also think it was cheeky of them

I think an Oxfam type gift can be perfect in this situation. It's hard when there are so many to buy for.

Tiggy - LOL, "someone I worked with" - it was you, wasn't it?!

Think the teas & coffee selection is a good idea....but agree its a bit cheeky!

In a room containing a total of say...30 children and 4 staff for example, the staff might get 5 boxes of roses each. Good chocolate would be better, or a luxury for staff such as hand cream. Anything but bloody roses realy!

I'm quite partial to a mingle or 2
