12 month old assigned 2 different key workers

With the days my daughter is attending nursery, she has been assigned two different key workers as they don't have one person who works the days she will be attending. Do you think this will be an issue for my daughter at all?

Having met the two key workers and seeing her interact with them, I think she's formed a far closer bond with the one and not the other, and I'm worried she will be looking for and wanting her preferred key worker on the day she isn't in?

It’s not a problem at all
Children can form multiple attachments

Having worked with babies for years, I'd say most are happy to be cared for and comforted by any of the adults in the room. They'll all make an effort to build a relationship with your child. Some babies do seem to form a stronger bond with one particular adult- definitely not always their key person though!

Babies often form a more secure attachment with a carer other than their keyworker...it really doesn’t matter....the keyworker will be responsible for doing their development reviews etc so if they have 2....the careers will just liaise with each other I guess and do them jointly

I find the key person policy has to be a bit flexible. Since someone could potentially give their notice in at work and leave wthin a week, I would rather my baby was attached to more than this one person.

The baby won't be allowed to become too attached to one person, it isn't a 1:1 relationship in nursery like in a home setting. The key person will have breaks, holidays, different shifts, cover other staff, staff and children are moved rooms. Baby gets used to being cared for by whoever is available.
