Been told today that the nursery will close next Wednesday.

Oh!

Oh no!

I want to strangle the administrators. I think they handled the sale very badly.

Are the debt collectors after you??????? What are the parents doing about this?

Crocky · 29/11/2007 21:59

Had three letters in a week.
They only want £20 from us luckily. Others have been asked for hundreds but there seems to be no willingness to show where the amounts come from.
No one is paying them currently and we have all explained why to the company. There is talk of doing a joint response.

Hello Crocky and Mumsville, administrators say we are definitely not getting our deposits back at Finchley. Not sure if it affects you, Mumsville as you paid after they went into administration.

Interesting that they are chasing others for debts owed and are not paying their debts. Contacted the local paper today and they might do a piece on it.

Help me, I just ate some chocolate unknowingly, the wrapper is sitting accusingly on the sofa. I need a nursery soon

mumsville · 29/11/2007 22:08

Oh Crocky - not what you need.

I remember your OP - the stress of it all in the first place - whipping the childcare out from under your feet and then debt recovery agencies after you all.

Crocky - I'm pretty certain the same will happen here.

I'll keep posting and would love to know how you approach this jointly.

I've just posted under legal to see if anyone can shed any light on rights.

many thanks for letting us know - I'll expect a letter!

Crocky · 29/11/2007 22:13

Yep, will let you know what happens.

I was extremely upset when they closed and in a complete panic i chose a little nursery that I would otherwise not have looked at. Bit grubby and worn.
But I have to say that it has worked out well. The nursery manager saw how upset I was and really took dd under her wing. Dd has settled fantastically and some of the children will be going to the same school, which would not have been the case with Primary Steps.

Hold on in there, things will work out.

Ma - nice one re the newspapers.

Yep - I'm eager to find about about my deposit as I did pay once in administration.

If we start getting hassle - I'm wondering if we should take Crocky's approach and get parents (if you know any) togehter.

I doubt very much that staff will geta payout
