my dd goes to a private nursery who's prices are..well expensive,£12.20 per session.
she's very happy there, very settled, staff great.im more than happy for her to go there, 3 mornings per week.ive used this nursery with my older two, having used other nurseries when i was working, i thought that this particular one was the best for various reasons.

now the dillema; i no longer work and im a sahm.i simply can't afford their prices. just had a bill for £243, this is for the full term til dec,and thats after they've taken off what she's entitled to with her nursery vouchers.i phoned nursery, and have dropped her to two sessions per week (2 mornings). i have a younger dd aswell so we go to toddler groups twice a week. she was born in june and so will start school sep 2008. is 2 morning sessions ,plus toddler groups enough? in my opinion it is, but i am doubting myself. should i find a cheaper nursery in the area (ive looked before and not liked them) just so that she can go for more sessions? advice appreciated xx

if she is happy and settled
and the nursery are happy with the session
you are fine why worry

my dd only went to nursery one full day a week and ds still has not started!

Not that expensive. A half day here is £20.

Use the free ones and take her to the groups, you are better off saving the money to spend on the odd treat and she will have a bit more time with you now you are at home.

if you genuinly cannot afford to send her then there is nothing more you can do send one morning and then paly grouops it will make no difference to her as long as she is still interacting with other children it is a bit expensive if your a sahm i would do what your doing so dont feel guilty

if you want her to go to more sessions then start looking at other pre-schools / nurseries around. They may have changed since you last looked.
Is it every week rather than just school terms as it still seems expensive given that the NEG has been taken off.
