Toddler behaviour

Hello
Just looking for a bit of advise or to see if anyone else has had this. DD was 2 at the end of July and started at a small nursery last week (we’ve managed until now between my parents, me and DP). Anyway, she’s settled really well, amazingly no tears, and has just got on with it. However, since she started at nursery, when she’s been at home she’s started hitting me every time I ask her to do something she doesn’t want to do/ or say no to her. She only does this with me, no one else in the family. Despite her recently turning 2 we’ve been in the terrible 2s for some time already so I’m used to some stroppy behaviour at times. I know toddlers can hit out and she has on the odd occasion before, but this is her reaction at everything. is it just a coincidence she’s started this now or do you think it’s linked to her starting nursery?? Am I just being incredibly naive in terms of toddler behaviour and have we maybe just hit the threenager stage early?? It’s blooming hard work whatever it is!!x

Totally normal once around other toddlers I'm afraid op.

My child has never seen hitting or been on the receiving end of it and as soon as he started nursery it started. I think it's just a normal part of their development whilst struggling to express themselves to each other and then mimicking each other's behaviour.
Hopefully she'll grow out of it soon Grin it's definitely not a fun part of parenting!
