Dear all! My DD is 4 years old and we moved from another country a few weeks ago! I would like to sent her to a nursery until she will start reception!
I have a few question! The request for funding must to be sent in January or we can apply any time? Is possible to sent her in a public nursery ( settled in a primary school) or the admission are over? How does it work?

Thank you

What country have you moved from? You might not be entitled to tax credits or any funding.

If you're eligible for funding you need to apply before January, the cut off may have gone by now for next term.

We moved from Italy! On the government site I read that everyone are eligible for the 15 hours. Anyway we lived in uk until July 2017 but for family reason we come back in our country for a while

Ah ok! Your little one can start in January term time as the cut off date was beginning of September.

So for example I cannot apply for the free funding in March?

Just contact the nursery and ask if they have space. They will give you a form to complete for the funding before you start. If they have space you can start anytime.

If you wanted 30 hours then you have to apply online and meet certain criteria.

The 15 hours starts from
The term after they are 3.
