Nursery bill

Hi all,
I was just wondering if this was right? LO is due to start nursery on the 19th November, I’ve had a bill through which needs to be paid by the 1st November for the full month amount. I have no issues with the amount and it has been worked out properly £45x3daysx52 weeks of the year but do nurseries usually bill people for the full month even if they won’t be starting until half way through the month? Sorry, I’ve never used a nursery before! Thanks all

Yes, our nursery bill for the month is paid in advance.

We pay a month in advance (so all of November sessions at end of October) but only sessions we use (so if it’s a 5 week month we pay more). I would ring and ask.

That must be a miatake? If your contract begins on 19th they can't start charging from 1st.
I can see it being due on 1st, but only for days from 19th.

We've been with two nurseries, and they have each billed in advance for the month BUT they wouldn't normally bill for days before you actually start. So, I could see you getting a bill to pay by 1 November but only for 19-30 November (if that makes sense).
I'd give them a call to check as it could just be an admin error.

Thanks everyone, I thought they would bill me from the 19th to the end of the month and then every month, I’ll give them an email, thanks all

Email them to check. When I used send my stepchild to nursery I typically got a bill each month. Is this a independent nursery or not?
