HOW MUCH NOTICE?

hi there i need some advice please my daughter is 2 and has been attending nursery since 6 months my partner has been unable too work for the past 7 weeks due too problems with his diabetes.he has also bein treated now for depression , i work paet time hours 9-2 , we have to pay fulltime for nursery which is 124 a week his doctor has now given him a months sick note i have asked how much notice that needs too be given and the manager said a month that is there policy apparently, i asked if she could be flexible for me as it would save money , NO but previously i got into arrears of 600 pounds was struggling finacially and i still owe 300 but she said if i dont clear the debt my daughter will have too stop coming too nursery until the debt clears as my standing order goes out every week , how come they can exclude her under there terms but need a months notice as i feel she is not being flexible surestart by the way i am looking now for alternitive nursery care .

I think this is standard.

Month's notice to leave the nursery - or a month's fees up front.

The reason why they can terminate with immediate effect is that you owe them money for services used. I think they are probably already being more generous than most nurseries would be in allowing you to be in that much arrears anyway.

yes but the lady that used to be the manager has now gone too a partner nursery , i actually spoke too her and she was covering as this manager was off , she said she coudnt see a problem that she would do it and was flexible

we are in a what is classed as a poverty stricken area and i dont think they would ask for money up front it wouldnt of been possible , we dont live in a well to do area

WELL I HAVE FOUND A LOVELY NURSERY THAT MEET UP TOO MY EXPECTATIONS FOR KATY ,I TOLD HER ALL ABOUT ME GETTING INTO ARREARS AND HOW THEY WERE NOT PREPARED TO BE FLEXIBLE THIS ONE FITS IN WITH MY HOURS TAKE HER 9 PICK UP THREE IT IS ACTUALLY WITHIN THE SCHOOL WERE I WORK ,LOVELY MANAGER AND MEET STAFF KATY BEEN ON 2 ONE AN HALF HOURLY VISITS IT IS 50 POUND CHEAPER AND ALOT MORE FLEXIBLE WIYH MY NEEDS BEING MET I WILL PAY MY ARREARS AT THE OTHER NURSERY .ALSO AS I WORK SCHOOL TERM ONLY ITHEY DONT EXPECT ME TOO PAY IF I DONT USE IT ALOT MORE RELAXED
