I believe at such a young age the less time apart is better. They can build up to being left for a whole day with a view to maybe going full days closer to 2years.

3 full days. You'll maximise productivity at work. Far less upsetting drop offs. Far less rushing around feeling the pressure to be at point x at time y. (This gets harder at toddler age) Freedom to make your own special full days.
They'll also settle really easily and well with that set up.

what worked for us was 3 days (those days being Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) Meaning I didn't work more than 2 days on the bounce, work didn't stack up too much in a 4 day pile up, a day off midweek to sort the washing and shopping that had amassed from the start of the week when it was only a small job plus a day pre weekend to chill out etc.

Check how your leave is worked out re Bank Holidays though.

For a lot of people, you will get 3/5 of the hours that make up the 8 BHs (4 of which are always a Monday, 1 is always a Friday, and 3 move days each year), but can't work on BHs, so you have to then take hours from your Annual Leave to make up the hours needed for the days off. If, however, you don't work Mondays, they you sort of get hours that add to your Annual Leave. So, for a lot of people, Monday is a bad day to work if you are PT.

I had a nanny instead of nursery but did 5 half days. I would recommend it, it means DC get into a daily routine and you're not away from each other too long.

I always did half days and built up to full days when they were older and more able to cope
