sorry been doing dinner and baths - good luck hope you find the 'right' one for ds will cat/post on here soon x

weepootleflump · 19/03/2007 18:29

starfairy, you're so lucky in NI with nurseries - they're so cheap and generally of a high standard. My dd used to go to one in NI until we moved to the mainland, we pay a hell of a lot more now.

thelittlesoldiersmummy - am I right in saying your nursery costs £100 per day?

americantrish · 20/03/2007 13:16

thanks ellie... looks like its going to have to be the one nearest to us, even though i have my reservations about sending ds there...:I

nurseryvoice · 20/03/2007 18:40

my nursery charges £125 per week
all meals and drinks are included apart from tea ( a snack is given at 4)
parents to provide own nappies wipes etc

cece · 20/03/2007 18:47

Have you considered using a childminder instead of a nursery?

americantrish · 21/03/2007 09:04

i have considered a childminder, but dh isnt keen on the idea. says it will 'limit' ds. but it may come down to needing to combine nursery and a childminder.

We charge a flat rate of £ 200 per week for five days full time ( 8am - 6pm - £40 per day) and £50 per day for individual days. We charge £32 per day for a 5 hour session, which includes a meal and a snack

We provide nappies, wipes, snacks, a two course hot lunch and tea/supper (usually hot, except in summer.)

We use organic milk, meat, fruit and veg.

We are in SW London.

AbigailsMummy · 23/03/2007 11:29

The nursery I am looking at is part of the kiddi Caru chain- I am based in fareham, hampshire and they charge £156 per week including everything except nappies and formula- this is fine really as we use proper nappies- and she'll only be on formula for another few months.

They do a really good weaning menu with different stages, and have a cook who produces good menu's of food, a lot of which is organic.

I have to admit I'm new to this nursery 'business' but what really swung it for me was the fact that their staff seem great- went to some other nurseries recently and they were all staffed by young girls who looked about 18-20!
