Hi,

I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for nurseries in the Oval, Clapham, Vauxhall, Kennington area of South London? Or Canary Wharf as I work here.

Also if you've had any bad experiences at a nursery then please let me know.

How far do people travel to go to a good nursery? I'd prefer not to drive but not sure if I'll have that luxury.

any thoughts welcome,

TP

We've used Little Unicorns in Canary Wharf and been really pleased. They seem to have a monopoly within the CW estate.
You have to consider how your journey would suit bringing your little one with you though... I wouldn't recommend the tube!
Let me know if you'd like to know more...

boooo - I have thread envy! Does anyone know of an nursery in Oval with/without male staff and gives kids fresh angel delight / no angel delight but doesn't let them play with marbles (until they are three)?

ps thanks for the CW update Catilla

If you are coming through Waterloo station can highly recommend St Patricks nursery. my daughter has been there since Oct05 and I am very happy.

I used unicorn in canary wharf and they are amazing. This was 4 years ago when they'd only been open a couple of years so not sure if their expansion has affected standards, but I doubt it. Lots of people who work in the wharf use them as it's nice to be nearer your child during the day, and if you work in the wharf you're probably working long hours so the extra couple of hours spent with your child (albeit on the tube/car) makes a difference.

Only roblem is he price - even 4 years ago I was paying £1045 a month, but it was worth it IMO

thank you for the feedback, I like the idea of Unicorns, but that means I would have to do all the dropping off / picking up. Waterloo one sounds good - will have a look - thanks, I thought my thread was dead!
