I see nurseries getting a fair bit of negativity on here so thought id share a positive story.
My little girl is 6 months old and starts nursery one short day a week after easter. This is only her second visit and i have all good vibes so far, she recognised her key worker from last week and happily went to her, the staff in the room were full of qiestions finding out all about her, left her for two hours and you can see through the window of the room before you get to it and therefore before the staff know you are there ( you are buzzed into the building by management) and peeping through she seemed really happy sat playing with one other baby the same age id guess at and a member of staff sat on the floor with them interacting with them. They had changed her nappy although it didnt need it and she had eaten what smelt like a lovely lunch.
I now feel alot better about leaving her when i go back to work and hope it keeps up Smile

Pleased it's a positive outcome for you! The nursery my ds goes to is also amazing and I have total faith in them.

That being said, he did some settling sessions at a different one first and it was awful. So you have to be careful!

It's like most things in life though isn't it - people only post when there's a problem, so you get a skewed view of the proportion of people that aren't happy.
From the issues that come up in 'relationships' you'd be amazed that anyone ever maintains a relationship longer than 3 months, but of course, it's just the posters that have issues that post for advice / sympathy. Those happily maerried 30 yrs ago don't tend to start threads. Smile

I'm glad you feel happy about going bak to work now though - it's hard to leave them at first Smile

Thanks. I used to be a nursery nurse myself so had knoweldge of some of the standards of nurseries and therefore viewed alot of local ones, none of which i had any issues with but knowing what to look for this place just felt right. Its very early days and hopefully ill still be as happy months down the line.
