Moving to Brighton

I'm moving to Brighton by Christmas and need some advice about areas to move to and schools! My little girl is 4 in March and has moved around a lot for various reasons so I want to find a nursery/primary school that she can stay at and be really happy and settled. I am a 44 yr single mum starting a new life so any suggestions of friendly places to move to with good access to transport, amenities etc would be hugely appreciated thank you x

Hanover is in Central Brighton and is a really popular area- close to shops, bus routes, good primary schools, lovely parks, nice houses etc. However, very expensive and up a massive hill (it's known locally as Muesli Mountain).

Woodingdean is a village just outside Brighton which is quite nice- 20 min bus into town, most houses have decent sized gardens, there's a couple of nice primary schools and decent local shops.

Hi - I've been advised to start centrally and I like Seven Dials or Kemp Town but Patcham seems nice. Price is a big consideration and schools - how old is/are your children? I have a 3 yr old girl so school Sept 2015 - any other Brightonians out there with some advice? x
