Recently post about the private nursery, I am thinking about let ds go for the private up until he is over one year old while the other normal nursery we like will eventually have a space.

Would this be a bad idea? I am thinking of sending him to both nurseries and eventually move over completely.

Anyone has done similar thing? The two nurseries have similar settings although the private one has bigger garden and more room.

Any advice appreciated.

have kept both my daughters at private nurseries, not the playgroups you mention as they don't fit in around my 3 day a week job. tbh i think one setting is better, though I know children who've been in 2 places (though for short crossover period)

My DD goes to 2 nurseries, although she's older - 3.8. She's been doing this since she was 2.9 as she goes to nursery 2 full days and pre-school 3 mornings. I was worried it would be disruptive, but she says proudly "I go to two nurseries"!

Bramshoot, glad to know it works well with your DD Hope my DS will say that to me when he starts to talk.

The situation is that we are on the waiting list of an ordinary nursery which locates near the private school nursery. The settings are similar (some staff in the private school one used to work in the other nursery). This nursery runs from 8:30-5:30 which is good for most working parents. It is busy until perhap early next summer. So I am thinking DS can eventually goes to both the private (to keep his little friends), and the normal for my extra working hours. For finacial reasons I think I need to go back to work longer then 15 hours per week.

I don't feel that I am making a rational decision right now - thinking about nursery I think as everyone suggested in the other thread, I need to follow my emotional feeling.
