Could you use a nursery where a baby had choked to death?

Yes this is about a case in the news.

If you lived near the nursery though could you even consider using it even though what happened was a tragic accident or would it be a definite no "just because"

"That nursery failed spectacularly, there is no way I would trust them with my DC."

If all the staff have been sack then it will not be the same nursery. Does it upset you having your child in the same building where a terrible tragicity happened?

I don't think all the staff have been sacked. Why would they have been? The inquest was only a few weeks ago.

I was asking for opinions as I did not know if my feelings were unreasonable.

We live near that nursery but we didn't consider it either.
Rationally, I'm sure they will now be more aware of first aid/safety than other nurseries because of what happened, but like you I just couldn't get past the history.
Anyway, DC is now very happy in a lovely nursery (where all staff are first aid trained).
