Child's previously outstanding nursery requires special measures

My child has been in a supposedly outstanding nursery for over a year and the latest Ofsted report has put the school into special measures. Has this happened to any other parents? Did you stick with the nursery and keep your child there or move them elsewhere? Thanks.

Depends why. It could be staff keeping the children in a dark basement or it could be an important piece of paperwork was misplaced on the day.

And do you mean the nursery is outstanding but attached to a school that is in special measures, or is the "school" the nursery?

I agree with Tiggy. You need to look into it a little more.

It depends because the guidelines that Ofsted use to evaluate settings is different than it used to be which is causing a lot of settings to be graded a lot lower than they used to be because a lot of settings did not improve and just rested on their laurels

Ofsted will have released the report and it should say on it why the nursery has had these measures implemented
