Is this a nursery attached to a school??

My DD had a home visit this time last year when she started nursery school and they never went upstairs just came into the front room and chatted to DD whilst going through paper work with me.

They won't want to see the bedrooms, so don't panic!
The idea of a home visit is to make the transition into nursery easier for your child. It's about making sure that each child feels happy and safe and secure at nursery- it's very informal and hepls children to accept strangers if they have visited their home environment.
it also gives you an opportunity to discuss any health issues or family circumstances in a private and sensitive way without other children and parents listening.
It is also so that the staff can devote their time solely to you and your child, not always easy in a busy nursery setting.
