Changing nurseries in June, not long before school starts

Due to an unavoidable move, we have to take my 2 DCs out of their current wonderful nursery to a new one (120 miles away). I'm not too worried about my youngest as he'll be at the new place for a couple of years, but my daughter is due to start school in Sept so will only be there a couple of months. She is a little bit shy and I'm worried that this move will be hugely stressful for her and that she wont be happy in the new nursery (even though I think it is friendly and lovely). So, I was after some advice - has any one got any ideas how we can make this move easier for her, or to tell me not to worry so much! One idea I had was to ask nursery if I could contact the other parents to see if I could arrange play dates with some of the kids in her class on the days she's not at nursery to try and help build new friendships. I dont know if this is something that is a normal thing to do, or a crazy parent thing to do which would make the nursery staff think I was mad. Anyway, any other ideas?
And if anyone happens to have a daughter at Dolphin nursery in Kingston and fancies a play date with my DD (she's 4) then please let me know Grin

I've this quandary too, we're moving in june and my son starts school in September. I've decided to get a nanny instead as I think the combination of new house, new area and new nursery will be too much. I've booked lots of nice activities tennis, gymnastics and art club do that he on't be bored. There's also. Little local playground he cn go to.
Having said that all children are different and only you cn decide if this is right for your child. Having a nanny is probably the same cost as two children at nursery so it won't be a major financial decision.
