WWYD? Am I OCD about hygiene?

My DS is starting gradual entry at daycare (I'm in Canada), he will be 6 months soon. My DS2 went to the same place and we are very happy with it.

Kids are paired with one adult to make the transition easier. I met the carer last week and she is very nice. Has grown up kids and teaches ECE.

But one thing got to me. She kept touching her face, eyes, nose and mouth and when turning pages of the contract she licked her fingers.

I am a bit OTT about washing my hands - AIBU to find this unhygienic? I want to say something but am struggling to figure out how. I bet she doesn't even realize she does it.

I do think its a bit ott. Kids are tactile and are going to get dirty and pick up bugs. Hand washing should be encouraged as appropriate but you can't protect them from everything.

Her face will be far cleaner than those of all the children being cared for in the nursery. Think of their grubby hands, then think if YABU about this woman's habits.

I definitely over think this because older DSs both had horrid bugs as babies (ds1 had rotovirus, DS2 RSV then pneumonia) - it does freak me out a bit

No - say nothing. If relevant it will get picked up in training, if not it will just annoy the hell out of her just as she is taking on DS2.

Jnice I'd have noticed and cringed, too
But it won't impact the care. Everyone has different levels of hygiene and I have learned to accept that most do not share mine
But how good of a carer someone is does not hinge on this. I know that sentence is awkward but on iPad and CBA to fix it
