Moving rooms/ new baby

DD1 is 15months, she's been at nursery for a couple of days a week for 5 months and has only really settled and started to enjoy it in the last month or so.

It was briefly mentioned in conversation that she'll be moved to the Toddler Room next month.

I'm concerned that when they are proposing to do this is the same week that DD2 arrives. I'm worried that this will be a lot of change for DD1 to cope with. What do you think? Can I ask that the move be put off for a month or am am I being PFB?

I've arranged a meeting later this week (to meet the staff/ask about routines etc) so any advice would be appreciated.

I would speak to the nursery and tell them your concerns, but I agree that I would nit want so many things changing at once, and try and keep stability and familiarity at nursery for a while.

my DS started moving rooms just as I has Dd and he was fine. That said, he was going 5 days a week then, and they did a very slow transition, with him doing afternoons or mornings in the tweenies room, with staff from the baby room so he felt comfortable there. Some of his friends were moving up as well which helped.
I was a bit PFB at first but after they said if he was struggling they would simply move him back til he was settled I agreed and he's been fine.
Word of warning though, he does come home a little more boisterous as I think the baby rooom is generally calm and the tweenies run around in a little gang a bit more (very cute tho)!
Hope shes ok whatever.

Thanks for your answers. She has had a bit of time in the TR (and come home really chatty & lively!) but have told nursery of my concerns.

They have been brilliant and said they'll go at our pace so I feel much happier now.
