Hiya. There is a new "Primary Steps" nursery opening near me in March. Anybody know anything about this branch of nurseries?

Thanks x

There's one by my house which i visited and was really impressed with. Very well thought out schedules, quality facilities and freshly cooked nutritious meals. In fact the only bad thing i can say against it is the 20 month waiting list to get my little one in ;-(

My daughter goes to Primary Steps. It was originally Academy and was taken over. There was a very bumpy ride for the first six months of the change but everything seems to have settled again and dd is very happy there.

We are in the North West. The problems came with them bringing in a new manager who wanted to stamp her authority on the place very early. She had previously worked in management but her people skills were limited. She got the staffs backs up, it was very obvious that they were not enjoying working in that environment. She also said a few things to parents that shocked and worried them, including stating that running a nursery would be by far the easiest thing that she had done.
It took parents requesting a meeting and demanding things be sorted to turn things around again and the meeetings are now a regular 6 monthly thing.
At the point of the first meeting the area manager began regular weekly visits and was able to steer the nursery manager on the right path.

Of you dont mind me asking how much do they charge per day? I live in central london so it will probably be quite dear :-(
