if you chose not to go with the immunisation programme for your child/ren?

Just need to know, thanks.

I had to state on dd's records whether she was up to date with her immunisations, but she would have still been accepted if she hadn't.

jennifersofia · 04/12/2005 20:10

Nope, wasn't asked for either child (though both have gone to same nursery). I would take issue if they had asked.

charlietherednosedpussy · 04/12/2005 20:13

Parents are asked where my dds went. Dates are there to be filled in on the form.
There have been a couple of kids having chemo at the nursery and the parents have had letters home asking to be vigilant about chicken pox/measles etc and im wondering whether if there was a child there that wasnt immunised wherether it would be an issue....hmmmmm

LIZS · 04/12/2005 20:17

Don't remember having to say either way for ds but that was a few years back. At school have had to state what they've had when but ours are skewed by having lived abroad (dd had her mmr and dtp "preschool" boosters at 18 months) and noone has queried it.

popsycalindisguise · 04/12/2005 20:18

never been asked......
ds1 hasnt had mmr or singles (yet)

Bozza · 04/12/2005 20:19

I think I had to fill it in on the form when they started nursery but both started as babies and we have not updated since although both have had subsequent vaccinations including the MMR.

Glitterygook · 04/12/2005 20:24

Had to fill it in on the forms but not sure what would happen if not vaccinated as all of mine have been.

Tbh, I'd be concerned if I had a pre-MMR aged baby at nursery and lots of children had not been immunised.

Not judging anyone's decision - it's entirely up to the parents to decide if their child is immunised or not - just saying how I'd feel in that situation.

popsycalindisguise · 04/12/2005 20:25

do you mean day caer nurseries or nurseries attached to schools?

MaryChristmas · 04/12/2005 20:28

Thanks.
looking into pre school and noticed on the registration form of the one I'm intersted in is a box with
Vaccinations:
Got me thinking can they refuse us?
I would take issue too.

Day care I mean.

Bozza · 04/12/2005 20:34

Yes I would have not been happy putting my children into the nursery at 6 months if I thought that lots of the children hadn't been vaccinated but I think most of them round here do have the MMR.

MaryChristmas · 04/12/2005 20:48

Ok.
