Hi does anyone know if I can split my free 15 hours childcare between 2 different nurseries? I know the Families Info Service will be able to tell me but they're closed until Tues and it's playing on my mind!!!
Love my sons nursery but I have to drive and finding travelling hard with baby twins. Would like to try out local nursery but don't want to withdraw him from current one without trying first! And don't want to pay if possible!!
Can anyone help?

You can.

Yes you can but you need to do it asap as they will be sorting the funding forms for the summer terms now. Once you have signed the funding form for this term your free hours can't be changed.

yes you can however some school nurseries do not allow this but in any private nursery or sure start nursery you are more than able to do this and funding forms can be changed and are able to be transfered to different setting but only twice in one term

headcount day is next friday so all forms need to be in and signed by then or its a bit of hassle but it can be done

Yes you can

I'm waiting to find out about this. DD does one full day at daycare and 2 afternoons (2.5hrs each) at pre-school. Have no idea how it will all work.

Next Friday?? Shit, no one at either nursery has mentioned it and the daycare place sort of said 'yeah yeah yeah' when I asked.

Thanks for the posts. I'll ring both nurseries on Tuesday and sort out asap.

When you get the form there are two sections and you specify what sessions you will be doing at each nursery and total it up.

I'm surprised you haven't been given the forms yet, I'd get on it straight away on Tues so you don't miss out if its for this term.

sammich · 01/05/2011 19:12

you wont miss out if its not in my this friday however your nursery will not be paid for the sessions that you have used before the funding comes through so will charge you for this and they can charge you the full nursery price not the price that the funding covers so hassle the settings for the forms !!
