What time does your nursery child go to bed?

Good evening working Mothers!
This isn't really about nurseries, more how the nursery day fits into your home life.

I'm wondering what time your child goes to bed on days they've been to nursery all day.

My son goes to nursery full day three or four days a week.
On those days we get home around 6pm, eat dinner, clear up, play etc and then he goes to bed around 7.45pm. He's BF to sleep which can take around 1/2hr so it can be nearly 8.30pm by the time he's asleep.

He's up for the day around 6.30 - 7am (waking during the night....groan) and has a 2hr nap after lunch. Oh, he's just turned 2.

This suits us fine. The only issues I have is that it doesn't leave me much time after the little one is in bed to have time with my older DS (12), nor does it give me much down time before I start all over again!

I guess when he drops his nap he'll need to go to bed earlier, but I'm in no hurry for that to happen 1) because I like having time with him in the evening and 2) on my non-work days I get some glorious quiet time in the day.

Just curious really.

Thanks.

Ds is 2.6, has been at nursery since under 1. He now goes to bed between 7 and 8 (usually about 7.30/7.45 when I leave him in his cot), and wakes between 7 and 8.

So on nursery days I either have cereal before he wakes or take him to nursery earlier if he wakes, sometimes having to wake him up and scoop him into the pushchair, to leave by 8am.
Then we get home by 6.30 so time for milk (and maybe smoothie/biscuits if he hasn't eaten much), and a bit of telly/play before heading upstairs round 7.

Though he's started staying up 'reading' and just demanded a new book!

He has naps of about 1 hour at nursery and 2-3 hours at home, so seems to work...

I read your post and it is nearly identical to how our day is. Getting up at 6.30. 8 o'clock at nursery.
18.00 at home, dinner, play, bath, bottle
and between 20.00 and 20.30 bed.
DD is 14 months and sleeps between 1 hour and 4 hours at nursery.
She sleeps through the nite though.
Suits us all fine and it seems easier than what I feared!

My DS is 3, he goes to bed at 8pm or earlier if looking tired. He's just moved up to pre_school room at nursery and the adjustment has knackered him out, he fell asleep on sofa about 6.30 for 3 nights running last week!

Your day though sounded like mine when DS was 2, including the 2bf nap and bf at bedtime. I quite often fell asleep on his bed at this age!

I still get broken sleep, too. Usually up twice a night.

My DD has just turned 2. She goes to nursery 3 days a week. We put her to bed at at 7 - 7.15pm, although she somtimes doesn't fall asleep for about 45mins, and wakes at 6.15 on nursery days because she hears us getting up. She naps for an hour tops at nursery, but 2 - 2.5 hours at home at lunchtime.

I think if your routine works for you then brill, but just be sure your LO is getting enough sleep otherwise this can interfere with quality of sleep - could explain why he is waking in the night? I think 2 year olds need between 11-12 hours sleep at night and at least an hour in the day.
