Hi,
I stopped working when I got pregnant. Now my son is three. I've decided to change profession and study to become a solicitor.

My GDL starts in September this year and my son has been admitted to a nearby nursery (starting Sept as well). But it's only for three hours a day.

I am new to this and I would like to know what options I have from experienced working moms.

I have no relatives nearby. My husband works full time weekdays from 10 to 6. He has to travel to the city so it takes about 75 minutes each way. I think my course will be from 9 to 5 weekdays. So I guess we need to cover from 9 to 6.

Also, any guidance on help from Govt/Employers in tax credits/benefit will be useful as well.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a nursery where you will be studying ? You need that, a daycare nursery or a childminder (and think forward to him starting school - if someone can do wrap around, then that might be a good long term place). You can use your state funding at a private nursery, rather than 3 hours at playgroup
