At least it washes off (eventually). DD always comes home covered in paint - I've now given her 3 tops she can wear to prechool (2 mornings a week) and they are stained with paint. I don't know what the people think of her looking such a state but I don't want her clothes ruined and as she's usually so clean and tidy (naturally - she gets upset by mess) most of her clothes are Next, Monsoon etc. Don't mind dirt but how come the paint we use at home washes out and preschool's doesn't?!

We stopped using it after another childminder told me one of her minded children got some in his eye. It's apparently near impossible to get it out and you have to wait until it works its way out. It can be quite serious and the doctor at the hospital told her he'd seen several children with the same problem.

We use glitter glue now if we want a glittery effect.

We don't use the tiny glitter. We use the bigger stuff which is much easier to sweep up.

I hate glitter, it gets everywhere.
Princessscrumpy have you tried soaking the paint-stained clothes in cold water and biological washing powder before you wash the clothes?
Putting them straight into a hot wash can set the stains and make them impossible to remove.
BTW I am sure people don't really care what your daughter wears and it's not really 'normal' for a child to be concerned about being messy. They normally get that from the parents.
