Present ideas for nursery staff

DD leaves her lovely nursery at the end of August after two very happy years and I want to get the staff something to say thank you. Unimaginatively I can only think of chocolates and nice bath stuff and so was hoping to borrow someone else's brain! Any ideas please?

How about making a nice cake or cookies with your dd and presenting in a nice wrapped parcel with a handmade card? I'm sure something your dd had a hand in creating would be more appreciated than something shop bought

Thank you, we're making cards for them and a cake is a lovely idea. Something chocolatey I think!

I just think that way everyone gets something nice and you don't have to spend a lot. Shows that you took the time as well, which people rarely do anymore. You could always get her keyworker a seperate something if she was really good to your dd. Is your dd starting school or going to a different preschool?

We bought a teapot and a few mugs. Luckily we have a Whittards outlet nearby, so it was a good deal (plus it was Easter so they were giving free Easter eggs with the mugsGrin)

Both ds1&2 had been at the same nursery, between them both they'd been going there for nearly 4 years. Been really helpful, and often went above and beyond the call of duty.

Btw, remember to take issues with you on the last day....I was a wreckBlush and so were most of the staffGrin

Going to a different preschool at the local primary.

You could buy them a picture/story book to read to the other children from your DD, or a little matching game or something similar from ELC. Then some chocs or homemade cake for the staff to share. Smile

Will certainly take tissues. Can't really believe that my darling baby girl is old enough to go to preschool. It goes so quickly...

dd is still at the nursery that ds went to. when she leaves next june we'll have been in and out of there for 6 consecutive years. my plan is to make a big long string of bunting spelling out the name of the nursery for their corridor or to use on gala days etc. along with a large tin of homebaking - cream meringues, tablet, cupcakes that kind of thing and a card with message...

When DD left her wonderful nursery last week we gave the staff Lush Bathbombs. They were a great hit, there have been lots of children leaving recently and I think they had had enough chocolate/biscuits/cake.

We put them in a pretty basket and DD had a ball taking it round to each staff member for them to choose a bomb. As others have said something personal from your DD would probably go down well. My DD drew a picture in the card which took pride of place on the wall.
