DD starting nursery soon, need reassurance

I'm sure nurseries have seen it all before but I am a neurotic first time mum to pfb and am a bit worried. Not about the decision to send her, she is very sociable so will love it I'm sure and we have no other option really, about things like:

Sleep - she is rubbish at napping and I usually feed her to sleep. She will sleep in her pram but only during a walk and wakes as soon as it is stops.

Noise - she is VERY loud, seriously other mums have winced, she shouts and babbles a lot. I'm worried about her disturbing the other babies.

Food - we are BLW, she makes a lot of mess and doesn't always eat much. Worried they will feed her if she doesn't eat much. Also bottles, she will take a bottle but it takes a long time to feed her.

The nursery we have chosen has an excellent ofsted report and comes recommended by my friend who takes her DD there.

I have a meeting at the end of August with nursery manager to answer questions/sort paperwork etc. DD starts in September when she will be 9mo.

Can anyone give me some reassurance?

She'll be absolutely fine.
Speak as a mum whose DCs went in at 5 months, 3 months and 9 months.

And, they will respect your wishes regarding BLW etc.

Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks NonnoMum. I am sure I she will be fine - it is me I am worried about!

You'll be fine too.

And don't worry if you find the tears coming from nowhere... everyone does. Even on my third, having known the nursery for five years, I still welled up.

Take tissues.

Hi PDog, I can't offer any experienced words of reassurance but DD (also pfb!) will also be starting nursery in September (at 8mo) and I have very similar worries so just wanted to say you're not alone!
I don't have any recommendations on the nursery my DD's going to, sadly, but it is the only one in the area with any avaiability (although DD was on waiting lists from 2 weeks of age!) but the staff seem lovely, children happy and a good Ofsted report.
Your nursery sounds fantastic and I think if your DD is very noisy she'll probably just entertain the other kids!
Anyway, I'm here if you want to hold hands, pass the tissues etc come Septmeber!

Don't worry PDog, you'll both be fine (although it might take you a bit longer than your DD to get used to it Grin)

My DS was a terrible daytime napper as a baby and it was only when he went to nursery did he eventually learn to sleep much longer.

I met with the room leader during my DS's settling in sessions and we went through everything about his feeding, sleeping, likes, dislikes etc and I'm sure you'll get the same opportunity.
