Hi everyone,

I’m currently completing my MSc Psychology dissertation and I’m looking for parents to take part in a short questionnaire.

The study explores how romantic relationships may influence parenting styles, and how this in turn relates to children’s emotional and behavioural wellbeing.

It’s completely anonymous and should only take around 10 minutes to complete.
I’d really appreciate your help šŸ’›

I’ve done it. It’s a very well written survey.

Thank you for participating in my study. It's such a help for my dissertation and will hopefully help future research about family dynamics and child upbringing :)

Why do you collect information only on gender and not on sex? This does not align with the recommendations of the Sullivan Review, which recommends collecting data on sex and, if relevant, also on gender identity.

Currently, you will not be able to analyse data relating to women, men or transpeople because you don't know who is who. Any differences between these groups in terms of their identities will not be captured. Any sex-based differences also won't be captured. Given that there is very little research on transpeople, you are not doing them a favour with this approach. You are also taking a political stance with this question.

To ensure data quality and compliance with the Sullivan Review, it would be better to collect data on sex and, if needed, ask a separate question on gender identity.
