Hi everyone, I hope it’s ok to share something a little personal.
I’m a mum living in London, and like many here, my family is abroad (Italy in my case).
When my son was born, I didn’t really get maternity leave — I work in the creative industry, and with an unsupportive partner (who I’ve since separated from), I had to keep working basically straight away.
Fast forward 7 years, between now working the office full time, and sometimes travelling for work, childcare has been both a logistical puzzle and a financial strain. Babysitters often move on quickly, which disrupts my son’s routine. To cut down hours, I’m always rushing, and instead of calm quality time with him in the evenings, it often feels like a race against the clock.
I know I’m not the only parent who feels this way. That’s why I’m working on an idea for an app to make childcare more affordable, stable, and community-driven, by helping families connect for nanny shares or parent-to-parent babysitting.
But before I go further, I need to understand how other parents feel. I’ve put together a short anonymous survey (3–4 minutes). If you’re a parent in London, I’d be SO grateful if you could take part:

Thank you so much for helping — your answers will shape whether this idea can really support families like ours. 💛
