Amazing DEXA scan result

About 3 years ago I was diagnosed with osteoporosis after breaking my pelvis in a cycling accident.

It was a huge shock at the time and tough to deal with.

I’ve just had another DEXA scan and I’ve improved hugely. I’m now firmly in the osteopenia range.

I’m so chuffed!

I was diagnosed after a broken leg. I took alendronic acid weekly, with daily calcium/vitD and I increased my consumption of dairy products (I am lactose intolerant) and had a similar result at the5yr test.

So pleased to hear your good news stories. It’s brilliant to hear positive stories. When I was diagnosed I was told not to expect big improvements and it felt pretty hopeless.
