Child free weekend in London. Where to go for drinks and dinner.

Me and DH have just booked a child free trip to London in a couple of weeks. I love London but we have always gone with DH and most of our activities/dinners have been centred round him. This time it’s just us and we are taking it easier and not scheduling every minute. I’d like to book dinners and think of places to go beforehand for drinks and cocktails. Any ideas? Budget not an issue and the more fabulous for people watching the better!
I quite like the idea of the martini trolley at the Connaught hotel, though I don’t especially like martinis!

Where are you staying?

If budget is no issue the following are showstoppers:

The Sea, The Sea
Lilibets
The Dover
Circolo Popolare

Go to Cahoots in Kingly Court off Carnaby Street for pre dinner cocktails. Then Brasserie Zedel for dinner and onto the American Bar nextdoor for post dinner drinks. Or Bob Bob Ricard is always lovely.

sorry we’re staying in Marylebone-I meant to add that to my post. Don’t mind travelling though.

Champagne over Covent Garden at the bar at the top of the Royal Opera House.

Then for dinner, Town, around the back of the ROH. Their speciality is Potato sourdough with gravy.

Aqua Shard is fun for cocktails, especially if you can get there around sunset. You may want to book

Hokus Pokus in King's Cross has amazing decor and lovely staff, and the cocktails are some of the best I've had.

Food wise, recommend Bob Bob Ricard in Soho or Skylon at South Bank are great

Thanks so much so far everyone. I’ll check all these out. I’ve popped into the Royal Opera House before and thought the champagne bar looked lovely so thanks for the reminder!
A few recommendations for Bob Bob Ricard and Brasserie Zedel so these must be good.
Chat GPT recommended cocktails at Artesian at the Langham hotel and Scott’s in Mayfair and Bacchanalia for dinner. I’m wondering if these restaurants are more style over substance though.
