Holiday Hand Luggage - what do you use- any Foldie users?

Don’t need it to have anything other than flight stuff as clothes and holiday bits will be in the big cases.

I need something to to on my back or shoulder- not a pull along.

My current bag doubles as a daily beach/ pool bag but for the plane, once the neck pillows are in there’s no room for much else!

DH Has all the electronics and chargers plus medications and a couple of waters.

DC Have a decent size backpack each.

I have the rest! Snacks, waters, magazines, books, spare outfits, wipes, hand gel, documents, money etc etc

I like the foldie but at £59.99 it’s so expensive!

Any recommendations?

Can you put the DCs’ books, spare clothes etc in their carry ons. And clip their neck pillows to their carry ons. Then you reclaim the space in your bag.

If they are old enough to have their own carry ons they are old enough to have their stuff in there I’d have thought?

Not really as they have their ‘junior’ size bags which just about holds their sleep teddies and plane colouring pens and books and a couple of other things to occupy them. The next size bag is too big and they wouldn’t cope with the extra weight.

I often see the neck pillows of others attached to bags dragging along floors, walls and it makes me a bit 🤢 at the thought of it around our necks after!

Ah ok so the DC are still quite little.

Do your neck pillows not have a case/little bag of their own…ours do so clipping them on externally is less of an issue

Trouble is 3/4 neck pillows, snacks clothes changes wipes water etc is going to take up all of any bag that’s carry on sized, if you larger to get space for your own stuff then it won’t meet carry on rules

Can DH have a bigger bag so he can put some more stuff in it and you reclaim a bit of space? Electronics are heavy but not large

Oooh you have little bags for your neck pillows? WOW! Where from?

They just came with them! Sorry! But any drawstring bag about the right size would do..

@minipie thank you- simple idea that I never even thought of!
