Passport has red dots on my photo of my face

Annoyingly I had a concert outside during the week. It poured with rain to the point my bag is soaked through. My passport was in my bag and got soaked. The red dots have came onto you photo onto my face. Other than that it looks used

can I fly on this or should I get a new one?

I don’t want to be awkward but considering all the issues around passports at the moment, I wouldn’t take a chance and would get a new one.

Don't know. How many red dots? How much is your face obscured? Surely it's the biometric data which matters the most now as so many people barely look like their passport photos.

I'd get a new one. Chances are, nothing will happen and those red dots would be looked over, but I personally wouldn't want to take any risks and would just get a new passport. Besides, you can even take the photo yourself to make sure you definitely like it (here are some tips for that), so renewal shouldn't be a problem.
Also, like PPs said, keep it in a plastic wallet from now on, rains can damage documents easily!

A few years ago i accidentally put DH’s passport through the wash!!! It was fine, but nowadays maybe not, I’d err on the side of caution and get a replacement.
